Operating a good kennel can be challenging. We need to balance the well-being of your pet with your convenience.
This kennel is owner-operated and your pet(s) are cared for by the owner and one long-time assistant.This ensures expert and consistent care.
Our hours of operation are based on a schedule that provides rest periods where dogs will sleep, eat, and digest in a calm and undisturbed environment. Just as at home, dogs will ignore anything that does not affect them. Just as at home, they will be active during the hours where you would leave or come home, then sleep on a sofa no matter what is going on, as they know it does not affect them.
We duplicate this here, resulting in well-rested pets under no undue stress.
Without a schedule, your pets would never know when somebody might come to pick them up or who is looking after them, resulting in your pets being under constant suspense and stress. Without a schedule, pets will be alert all the time, listening to every sound or activity.This will result in a stressed pet and could have medical consequences.
Pick ups out of hours will disturb the routine of the dogs and upset the dogs left in the kennel after you leave.
Many of our long term clients frequent this kennel because of the hours. These clients know that their pet is happy and will return home relaxed and well. The hours have worked well for 20 years now, pleasing many clients.
I am committed to provide good care for your pet and cater to the owners who understand that a good routine makes the stay of your pet a comfortable and happy one.
If you have an emergency drop off, we will make every effort to accommodate you.
If your schedule truly does not fit into the kennel hours, please contact me. If you find yourself early or late, I will try to accommodate you.
